Eligibility Criteria for IIM CAT 2026
For Post Graduate Programmes in Management (PGP)
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA from any recognized University or educational institution incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature in India, or declared as a deemed University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
For candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons With Disability (PWD) categories, the minimum required marks is 45%.
For Fellowship Programmes in Management (FPM) / PhD
Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification examination can also apply. Those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results are eligible to apply. If selected, such candidates will be allowed to join the programme provisionally only if they submit a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of their University/Institution stating that they have completed all requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree on the date of issue of the certificate.
